The 2024 Heisman Trophy finalists are Colorado’s Travis Hunter, Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, and Miami’s Cam Ward. The Heisman, awarded annually to college football’s most outstanding player, will be presented Saturday in New York.
Hunter excelled as a two-way player for Colorado, amassing 1,152 receiving yards, 14 touchdowns, and key defensive stats, including four interceptions. Jeanty led the nation with 2,497 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns while posting the longest active streak in FBS at 125+ yards since 1996. Gabriel also set the FBS all-time touchdown record with 187. He threw for 3,558 yards with 28 touchdowns this year. Ward kept the nation’s top-scoring offense running smoothly, passing for 4,123 yards and FBS-best 36 touchdowns.
Quarterbacks have dominated recent wins, but Hunter and Jeanty’s exceptional seasons make this year’s race highly competitive.
